Fremont Residence (Addition)

This is an addition I've done in my own house. The projected rooted from an outdoor balcony leaking into the garage below, and the best solution proved to be enclosing the entire space. This captured a 10' x 10' square, perfect for an at-home office. Additionally, the Game Room was previously oriented in a manner that was less than ideal. You faced the sun, and the largest wall in the room wasn't featured to garner the most attention. To successfully deal with these inconveniences, I extended the room such that it meets the exterior wall on the far side.

Valuing an environmentally-friendly approach was pertinent to me. The wood used for this project was both reclaimed and sourced form a local vendor. On top of that, all electronics that are enjoyed in this room are ENERGY STAR approved, meaning that they are more efficient than competing devices.

My responsibilities for this project was to create contract documents, and receive any necessary permitting from the City of Fremont.
